Kate Michaelson
Growing up in rural Ohio, I developed a love of the natural world and a strong desire to live closer to a mall. My writing uses humor and mystery to explore women’s experiences with chronic illness. My debut mystery, HIDDEN ROOMS, follows a woman who returns to her Midwestern hometown and must clear her brother of a murder charge while also seeking answers to her own medical mystery. I work as a curriculum designer and hold a PhD in Educational Psychology. When I’m not working, writing, or napping, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and trying (fruitlessly) to tire out my Labrador mix. I currently live in Ohio with my husband, my dog, and an imperious cat.
